@KeansburgMark No it is not illegal to own cards it is illegal to USE the cards and play any card game relating to gambling such as poker or black jack for money or fun. You can play cribbage and other games? just not games in which gambling is involved in any form. So poker is completely outlawed in the state and illegal to play even for fun.

Nice but all Card games are illegal in Texas so if you are their you can not play it? period end of story. Even playing WITHOUT money is outlawed.
